Audit and Evaluation

The Audit and Evaluation Branch (AEB) promotes strong stewardship, accountability and transparency across NRCan. It operates independently and with a disciplined approach to provide audit and evaluation services that add value and improve the department’s operations and performance.

Audit

The role of the Audit Division is to provide senior management with independent professional advice and assurances on the performance of the management framework, departmental programs, policies and operations. The Division conducts audits, reviews, and special studies in areas of significance or risk, according to government policies. Departmental managers develop appropriate action plans to address the issues identified in audit reports, and report on their implementation.
