Canada Greener Homes Grant
The ongoing labour disruption at Canada Post may result in delays in payments for both the Canada Greener Homes Grant and the Oil to Heat Pump Affordability programs. We invite you to visit the Canada Post website for the latest information and service updates.
Important Notice:
To ensure the Canada Greener Homes Grant program can effectively manage the remaining grant funding available, a deadline has been established to request a grant.
The deadline for homeowners participating in the program to complete their journey and request a grant is December 31, 2025, 11:59 p.m. (ET).
Please note that requests for payments made after the deadline will not be processed. For guidance on the steps to take to complete your Greener Homes journey, refer to the information in the email communications from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). Homeowners in Ontario and Nova Scotia who are participating in the Home Energy Rebate Plus program or the Home Energy Assessment program should direct their questions to their respective provincial programs.
Quebec homeowners: The Rénoclimat program had informed Quebec participants of its own program end dates. Quebec participants are encouraged to visit the Rénoclimat website for this information.
The Canada Greener Homes Loan and the Oil to Heat Pump Affordability program remain open. Applications will continue to be accepted to these programs.
NRCan continues to work on the delivery of the upcoming Canada Greener Homes Affordability Program, which will offer additional home retrofit programming for eligible Canadians. NRCan will share more information as it becomes available.
