Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to produce ultrahigh capacity cylindrical cells through dry electrode coating and internal thermal cooling to boost energy density and safety.

Expected Results

This project aims to:

1. Lower manufacturing cost for domestic-made batteries and improve access to electrified transportation.
2. Localize manufacturing resulting from this work in Canada, boosting the local economy.
3. Strengthen the Canadian battery supply chain through local manufacturing.
4. Enable downstream original equipment manufacturers to integrate high performance cells in their products through partnerships with the Proponent.
