Project Objectives

The objective of the project is to develop a software platform that models energy consumption for Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles, considering parameters including route profiles, payloads, traffic, charger availability, charger output capacity, battery health, operating temperatures, vehicle and component specifications, etc. The platform will enable fleet operators to make informed technology decisions, transition to lower emission vehicles, while enhancing fleet performance and resilience.

Expected Results

This project aims to:

  1. Develop a software solution to inform fleet managers about zero-emission medium and heavy-duty vehicle opportunities.
  2. Increase adoption of these vehicles, reducing reliance on diesel, improving air quality, and cutting noise and GHG emissions.
  3. Provide fleet operators with data and tools to make informed choices on zero emission vehicles.
