Project Objectives

The objective of this project is to improve cryogenic/expansion technology via laboratory R&D to develop an innovative supersonic carbon capture process, adaptable to various industrial sources at low cost.

Expected Results

This project aims to:

  1. Develop an innovative Canadian capture technology based on a mechanical separation method, applicable to various sources, even at low CO2 concentrations.
  2. Validate the concept and provide data on performance, energy consumption, and sustainability to provide CapEx and OpEx estimates for a commercial-scale system.
