Practice Guide for Advancing Climate Equity in Coastal Climate Change Adaptation (2024)
The Practice Guide for Advancing Climate Equity in Coastal Climate Change Adaptation is a tool developed in collaboration with SHIFT Collaborative and the Climate-Resilient Coastal Communities Program to support practitioners in creating more inclusive and equitable climate projects. Climate equity is an approach that applies a fairness framework to the ways we experience and understand climate change, as well as respond to it. It ensures the fair distribution of climate protection efforts and reduces the unequal burdens created by climate change.

Canada in a Changing Climate reports
Canada in a Changing Climate is the national assessment process of how and why Canada’s climate is changing; the impacts of these changes on our communities, health, environment and economy; and how we are adapting across the country. Assessment report findings inform and advance adaptation decision-making and action, including the work accomplished through the Adaptation Platform.
The reports developed through this process, such as the National Issues Report (2021), also inform policy initiatives, including the National Adaptation Strategy. The reports from the last assessment cycle are available at ChangingClimate.ca.
