Further, building partnerships with industries, labour organizations, and other stakeholders drives joint efforts toward economic growth, climate action and sustainable job creation, while ensuring support for workers and communities.
Regional Tables’ key collaborators and resources:

Federal departments and agencies
- NRCan leads the overarching initiative and collaborates closely with each participating province and territory
- Federal departments and agencies, including NRCan, align efforts and provide strategic guidance, tools, funding and expertise to maximize their impact on national and regional low-carbon goals, supporting Canada’s transition through insights and analysis on energy, climate and resource sectors
- Collaborate with Indigenous partners and stakeholders on their clean energy priorities and interests
Provincial and territorial governments
These governments play a key role in implementing regional initiatives by:
- Co-leading their respective Regional Tables alongside NRCan
- Focusing on the acceleration of low-carbon opportunities that align with their unique economic, environmental, and social contexts
- Collaborating with Indigenous communities, industry sectors, academic institutions, and labor organizations to drive progress and deliver results
Indigenous organizations and governments
- Play a vital role in Canada’s energy transition and share Indigenous priorities and knowledge through the Regional Tables
- Collaborate through the Regional Tables to advance progress on capacity building, and Indigenous participation in regional opportunities and key projects
